Anyone know how to remove the inside window/door clips on a 56 Dodge coronet. According to the manual it takes a special removal tool which I don’t have. The “regular “ GM remover doesn’t work. TIA

Look closely at the clips to see which direction they're pointed. Now take a shop rag and shimmy it down past the handle. Now pull back on the rag and it will catch the end of the clip and pull it right out.
Yes I'm serious, it works & usually easier than the "special tool". I'm sure there are videos on YouTube if you need a visual.

This is what the back side of the handle looks like. That clip is not meant to be removed from the handle itself. You need a tool to push the clip over to line up with the square hole in the handle, then it'll slide off of the shaft. They made a special pliers for it but anything solid you can get behind the handle can push it over. I use one of those L-shaped bars that are used for locking a garage door, it's got a built-in handle and can be slid in flush with the door panel, works well.

The rag trick does not work on this kind of handle, it's a totally different system.
