    Hey everyone,

i just replaced the wing windows in my 1946 stylemaster with a full window. I managed to rig together a regulator that does the job, just not the way i'd like. Has anyone fabricated a window regulator out of a late model mechanism that works smoothly. I know there are a couple posts on here for setups of other models. But has anyone done this with this type of vehicle? If so, any help would be appreciated.

    thanks

I used Jeep Cherokee manual regs from a 1997-2001.

It is a center track lift, cable in a plastic tube. It kind of limits where you can tweak the handle to be, but it works good. The center track was slightly curved for modern door glass, but I flattened it out real easy for use with flat glass.

The window handle mechanism is attached to the blue flexible tube, so after the center track is mounted, then you can swing the handle up or down a little for best fit.

With a center lift, the door glass must have good fitting side tracks to keep the window level. That may be a problem with eliminated vent windows.

    F&J,

Thanks! That helps out a lot. I have the side tracks fitted up nicely, so now I just need the regulators. Off to the junkyard I go!

    Thanks again
