Technical Dot number BF Goodrich Silvertown

    Hi there,

    I already searched the internet, but I still have no clue.
    I have this DOT number on BF goodrich Silvertown Whitewall tyres.
    Can anybody help me in decoding?
    I would like to knwo how old these are.

    I guess the DOT is CYNK C27531
    instead of the 15 ending

    According to what I've read, using the pre year 2000 style date coding, your tire was manufactured the 53rd week of a year ending in a 1. Well, we all know that there are only 52 weeks in a year so I'm thinking you still read the code wrong.

    The first code you listed would be the 31st week of a year ending in a 5, which would make more sense, but you said it was the wrong code.

    So, the last 3 numbers:

    First 2 of those are the week of the year (01-52)
    Third is the last digit of the year (0-9)

    Better have another look at them.

    It looks like you have a 5 at the end there but it's out of the oval.
