Doug nash 4+1 done by liberty need a little help

Hello: I have a doug nash in my old drag car it's a crash box done by liberty and is always noisy but 3rd and 4th seem to be louder than 1st and second I really never noticed untill I had to back out hard in my last run it was pretty noticable. Any thoughts on this condition is it normal or should it be quieter in higher gears 5th is not as loud. Thanks Ed
