An other legend lives only 2 mile down the road, and comes in the shop most every day...Butch Osmond

Heres the early years before he went on to drive dragsters and win the world champiionship 1978 in a AA/DA car and then drive TF for the great Jim&Allison Lee

I believe He one of only one of about eight people to beat Gartlits in a final round

Today he still tunes on a fuel altered

    Nice pics,GOATROPERO2
Looks like racing runs in the family.Do remember Butch driving for a time in the Lees' car.
Wish I had just a portion of Hans'drive.
Yes,I did forget to mention the short shutoff.
It was tough to get my 57 G/MP wagon stopped before the gravel.Went in it many times.
Did have a fun talk with Ken Montgomery of 555 Mopar fame at the York reunion a few years back.Gave him some copies of pics from SGF.He won the gas class at that meet and did mention it was tough to get his money.
Think he said he got it but it took awhile.

    OK-back to the pics.

I loved this picture. It shows me(at the front) with hair. Ronnie is at the jack and the guy approaching is Bill Temple who worked at Fiberglass Trends and was one helluva glass man and liked his speed-not in a car. Thanks for the memories

In 1968-70, funnies VS altereds were kind of a popular draw. The altereds, when all went right, were quicker than most funnies. But poor consistency was their down fall. By 1971, the funnies had advanced so far that it wasnt a fair race anymore.
