Have the motor, trans, and all the rest of the parts and pieces, including the M/T10 spline center and 6 sets of gears. Good eye on the steering. When I got it ,the front axle and the radius rods were missing. I built a new front end from chassis shop pieces, guessing at what it should look like

I bought this photo at LIONS in 1966 and had it signed by Gas Ronda just two months ago (March, 2008), 42 years later.........

One of my first photographs that I took at the drags. This was at the end of the shutdown area at the San Gabriel Drag Strip which was about 300 yards east of where the Irwindale Speedway oval is today.
Here's Tommy Ivo and the "Barnstormer". Ivo liked Cadillac push cars and flannel shirts. This was 1963.

Portions of San Gabe can still be found by entering onto the So-Cal Edison property and making inspection of the lot. You can find remnents of what was portions of the strip itself. The same can be said of the property that once hosted the San Fernando drag strip. Now a swap meet, the snack bar is still there and serving gut bombs. Its walls adorned with old photos. There is also the basic foundation that supported the long gone tower, and the first few hundered feet of strating line. Oh, check out Ivo's cowboy boots.

I had the kit of this car that was released by Revell. The MGM Willy's P/U in the background belonged to soon to be funnycar racer Gene Conway.

This was the final round in A/FX, 1966, LIONS Drag Strip.
Phil Bonner's SOHC Falcon against the winning Dick Brannan SOHC Mustang.
I got this shot from way up in the grandstand, but thanks to a large negative, was able to crop it.

    Gas Ronda's 427 Thunderbolt
The car was one of the few built that were originally painted maroon. Ronda had it painted "Poppy Red".

Two Anglias going at it at Irwindale in 1966.
On the left is the Kohler Brother's "King Kong" and on the right is Arizona' Johnny Loper's "Little Hoss".
Both were not only super-fast, but absolutely spotless.

Man, I feel bad for you guys that didn't get to see the "Golden Days" of drag racing. Here's the "Untouchable" and the "Valkerie" jets raising the noise level a whole bunch. Those things really did make some racket. Nothing was as crazy as the jet dragsters...
