Hey Nick good to see you on here. You should have plenty of pictures or stories to post.

  9. Good to see some new posters here! This thread is the best on the web, it needs constant care and input to keep going! Just like a fast drag car. I know many people have pictures and stories, fact is us old coots are going fast. Why let your photos get thrown in the trash after you go? Scan 'em and post 'em so the Golden Age of drag racing will be preserved.Hell, in 20 years there probably won't BE anymore racing.
So POST, don't lurk, POST!!! Thanks!

I posted this above, and others filled in the story well!, thanks...I found a later picture of the same car under new ownership, seems to confirm that Tom McEwen drove it, looks like him in the seat.

  18. Well the March Meet is almost here. I don't go anymore, but I assume Mongoose will be right at the entrance gate ( if he's still around)! Maybe somebody can ask him about this car. He isn't hard to talk to, particularly when it's about him!

  19. Where is it? What's it set up for? Build details?
Don't recognize it, stock WB but set back motor> Two seats? hmmm

Ran on ECFFCC (East Coast Fuel Funny Car Circuit) Bobby Martindale, but can’t recall first name for Hancook.

With due regard and respect to all the innovators, geniuses and fantastic drivers of our sport, in my opinion Mickey is pretty much at the top of the heap. When he ran Long Beach he allowed a lot of people to put on a really good show. Fairly.
