    Tommy--
    You and Gary would have to screw up pretty bad before anyone around here would complain.
    Duplications=twice the fun.
    Again, thanks guys, you gotta know this is a daily ritual for a lot of people.

    Roger Hardcastle's Kellison, "The Stinger" with Pat Akins fuel hemi. They tried to run it as a funny car just as the old A/FX cars were morphing into floppers. With Wild Man Gary Southern in the seat, they ran over 200 at Pomona. The F/C guys******ed, so NHRA classed it as an A/FD. Didn't bother Gary. he went out and put it in the show!

    Unfortunately, this picture shows up in this tread all the time.

    It was not and never was a dragster. It was a Land Speed Record car that was brought to a couple of drag strips for show $$ and to try to hook some sponsors.

    Noel Black was killed in this car at over 400 MPH in 1970.

    You can find info here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/MotionI

    The two shots, below, were taken right about the time the rear axle broke, pitching the car sideways. You can see flew and other details as everything went bad!

  13. Yes he did. He has Thursday lunch at the Steer and Ale around the corner from his shop and she would join us every once in a while. It came as a surprise to me.

    He did not have a 40/41 to my knowledge. What makes you think it was?

  20. Likewise. He may have had a 40/41 Willys, but I can't recall ever seeing it.As the previous poster said, why do you think it's Mitchel's?
