    Far lane opposite the blue bandit looks like Jack Ditmar's Mini Brute. Not sure but seems to me the Opel was an A/FC?

    Ahhh a local hero ! K Peterson had a shop in San Mateo, Ca. nothing like a well built SBC and a strong 4spd. C/Mod Prod ? 50-50 muffler was THE shop to have your lift bars done...we cruised his shop often. hey we're kool, think we could drive by then. many guys aspired to beat this car. Great thread thanks to everyone who has posted

    Do you know hat et's the Crown Auto dragster ran? Was it a Jr. Fuel car? I always liked those Logghe cars, they were slick.

  22. Yes,Ditmars ran A/FC as well as A/FA with this car for about 4 or 5 years.Had a short-lived (crashed) rear engine Vega A/FC after this. Dennis Doubleday

    Can't be many like it - probably Big John Mazmanian's car.

    Royal - got any pictures of him (John)? Always hear the name, never seen a picture of him, I'm starting to think he wasn't all that big so he shunned the camera. :D
