Not sure if this has been posted before but I was able to get this photo from the Terry Ivey collection this evening and felt it was appropriate

I made hundreds of runs in my Blown FED but looking at a leg under Driver Position, makes me want to question the sanity of the Pilots involved. I would rather strap into the Electric Chair than drive a leg under Dragster!

  22. April 1972 on the infield of Seekonk Speedway after King & Marshall promotion with Loctite Super Bonder and tug of war with the cars trying to pull pieces of metal apart glued together with Super Bonder. Two tries and they didn't pull apart. image.jpeg

An extreme example of "legs under". Most had just the driver's feet ahead of the axle. Hopefully this was just in the mock up stage and sanity prevailed because I can't see how you would even get into this car unless your knees bent both ways.

This car was still in existence recently as it was at a nostalgia event at US 41 (NW Indiana) just a couple of years back.

This was a great looking car--a pity that it had to go away when P Wood put it back to the original Old Master configuration.

  29. May 4, 1969 I was supposed to be in Fort Lewis Washington to leave for Vietnam, but I was at the wheel of Jack Doyle's car and was AWOL. Got there Tuesday, a little late... image.jpeg
