I know these are newish, and it's gay to post your own cars, but here are a couple of the cars I campaigned and loved and hated and...

My 5 second sbc (yes, Small Block Chevy) powered TAD back in 95 (Alan Hartley's A/ Fueler in the other lane.) Parked this car after NHRA rule changed this combination out of competitiveness (Santos Family scared the livin' shit outta everyone w/ theirs, absolutely DOMINATED the class):

First A/ Fuel car I drove in '99, never wanted to even look @ a blown alcohol car again, definately got me hooked on Nitro racing:

This thread belongs in the Hall of Fame (if there is one).

Larry Brown in Bob Dumont's dragster, Tulsa 1972. I remember seeing another pic on the last page of a Hot Rod of this same explosion. Showed a piston and rod coming out the sidewall of the tire. Somewhere around early '90's. Any of you historians know what issue? I'd like to get a copy for Dumont. Same bomb as post #166.

I never knew Larry, but hope he's doing great. I used to work for Dumont at his garage in OKC. Taught me all kinds of good stuff.

  25. That Beedy and Lutz car is a familiar face, one of my friends helps crew on it and I've pushed it around a few times. To bad the old man passed away, he never wrote anything down, kept it all in his head. They are still having a time trying to get it to run up to snuff.
