He might have, but it would have been before '59, here is his Kurtis at San Gabriel, picture by Dean Lowe and posted on this thread years ago...this is the earliest I can find a Sam Parriot car:

  22. I figured you guys would get it figured out. The Allard was the reason Frank got into the sports car market in the first place. One of Frank's high dollar Indy roadster customers showed up at KK one afternoon with the brand new Cad Allard he had just picked up at the dock. He was talking it up saying how good a road car it was, and the USA had nothing close. He let Frank take his new Allard on a little drive. Of they went up the hills around the Forrest Lawn skill orchard in Glendale. Frank drove the holy shit out of the "English shit box", his words. He told the owner it steered like a Mack, the front wheels lay over so far in a corner, he thought he was driving a road grader, and by the time the rear end catches up, you're trying to turn a different direction. He told Frank, OK smart ass, if you can build a better road racer, do it! Frank said "you finance the prototype, and I'll build it. The deal was on, and the KK 500S was born.

Oh, and the picture I took in '59 was at Pomona.

The reason that the front wheels on an Allard laid over in a corner was that the Ford beam axle was cut in half and pivoted in the middle--like an F 100 style Twin I Beam except that it did not have the benefit of having the axles longer and pivoting from the opposite side frame rails, hence lots of camber in the turns.
