Mike: Every time I pass through Weeki Wachee I get a kick out of the "Watch out for Bears" signs posted on the roads.
My grand kids love Weeki Wachee Springs and the water park.

There's a few Hambers that live here. We're within a couple of mile of the mermaid park. There's a bear habitat just north of Weeki Wachee. I saw a dead cub on the side of the road but that's the only bear I've seen.

    Mike:
About 25 years ago I was looking at property just north of Spring Hill and as I was walking the property with my wife and the guy who owned the land I noticed tracks on the ground and the guy told me their were deer all over the place.

I said to him these are not dear tracks and when he looked closer he said those are bear tracks and that was all my wife had to hear and she would not ever consider living there. True Story.

I liked it because it was a little over 5 acres.

Thought I'd never see this car again. Just loved it.
The wind screen has me a little confused.

  17. Apparently it confused the NHRA tech guys too. The made Al cobble up a more stock shaped top and windshield out of aluminum angle and plexiglass before he could run at the Nationals.

That might be a 'support' truck. That angle looks a little too hairy. The oil pan might hit before the front tires do.

I know where a bunch of them are.
For one, the prices have gone up so much that they are being sold to collectors, sometimes to never be driven.
Another thing I have seen for 20 years is, a blower gets added to a car that WAS driven everywhere and all of a sudden you don't see it out so often. Eventually, the owner gets the overheating under control, but it still doesn't get driven like it did.
Some of the people who used to organize events for those cars, just aren't doing it anymore.

This is what the NHRA did not like:
