  3. The Jack Williams Dragster picture was taken at the Original Mission Raceway,Mission B.C. Before it opened. His was the first car down the strip.

    Thanks Mike, for this shot of Ernie Hall's A/D. He built his own cars ( up until he went in to T/F in '73). As a kid, I remember looking in the huge windows at the family business, (they built the majority of fire trucks for Oregon and Washington, and Ernie's dragsters were on display. He built this car in '64, it followed the "TE 440 style car", that Ed McCulloch drove for him, and was featured in Hot Rod. Even on a tight budget, his cars always ran and held together very well. He was one of the few who could make an Enderle Bugcatcher run good on gasoline. He sold me some of his obsolete 392 stuff, and furnished valuable advice, when I got started.     Didn't Dick Chase run a 55' Chevy in D/Gas during this time, as well. He lived in the Azusa area. Anyone have pics of his 55?

    Dick was from Glendora it was black 55 hardtop it was called BALLYHOO later on he went to a 60s vette. super nice guy.
