    The Green Opel Kadette was first run by Norm Paddock. He sold it to Dave Mason in 69 who subsquently clinched the UDRA AA/GS circuit that year. In 69, Paddock wanted to build the first Opel GT gasser, but he couldnt get a body from a dealer to create a mold, so he sent a letter to Opel. They sold him a bare bones shell, from which created one of the first paper thin fiberglass shells

    i talked to norm a couple years ago...he told me his wife did the fiberglass work for him....and at one us nationals , he had something like 70 cars (that number seems high...but it sticks out in my head..:rolleyes:) there he had built....this was during his "funny farm" days as he called it. neat guy. brandon:D

    Yes 70 seems high too, but at one point both the Opel Kadette and GT's were popular in the various gas classes. I am sure he ventured into buildiignother cars besides those adorned with the German import shell mounted atop
