sorry for late reply, I have a couple of the scale model cars stuck in limbo, that is work for winter daze. this is two of them I put on the drive way to make them look real. the one in the foreground is of my car ,I take great pains to make these cars look absolutely similar to the real cars. (disclaimer for missing detail). 2013_0815drivewaydragsters0005.jpg

kinda where it starts I machine the bell housings and make the differentials.

Here's two more of his cars, the first is his Olds Potvin in a new Dragmaster chassis, the second is his Olds with a top mount blower in another Dragmaster chassis. christian2.jpg 13592416_1124421904285422_7592065997031633763_n.jpg

they are 1:6 because that is the scale of engines available. I started trying to 'eyeball' them and they sucked so I started drawing them to scale and transfer the drawing to a fixture I make of wood, the tubing is 1/4" and 3/16" for the most part ,some roll cages are 5/16" they are brakeline tubing. one of the harder items to make is the adapter between the wheels which are to small diameter for the slicks ,it has to be grooved to accept the tire bead and they lightly press onto the radio control model wheels. I hope these aren't in the wrong place on this thread.sorry if they are. 2013_0724Tars0001.JPG

  28. I think it's just some damage on the print or maybe the negative. But it does look like some licks of flame on the roof of the car.
