A bit soon for a re-run mate. You posted this one last Sunday.

Based on those front wheels I thought it might be from Australia.

The wheels are Dragaway (now Dragway) from Ian Splatt, the builder of the car. The photo is actually from New Zealand from Jimmy's trip to the shakey isles.

Early days in a racing career that extends to this day. The oldest active owner/tuner in funny car racing.

It was short lived but still one of the most awesome 34 coupes around. From Dean Lowe in 2016 right here in the altered thread.

  18. I guess that explains why I don't ever remember seeing pictures of this car before. That thing looks just plain nasty no matter how you look at it!

But what made this a "BB"/FA as opposed to a AA/FA? o_O Don't recall seeing that class designation with any frequency. Something other than nitro fueled?

One of the earliest 8:71 blowers out there. Steve's cars were all very well detailed. Chase

  21. Thanks, Dean! Looks like a little less slick on it than most other Fuel Altereds too.

Would Ian Splatt be Rachel's dad.

Thought I'd take this opportunity to ask if anyone remembers seeing a photo of the Magnificent 7 car in a beach setting, yes, pretty sure, sitting in or near the sand.
I've looked on the internet and inquired here once before with no response.
    Or did I dream it?

Yes he would. He also raced back in the day as seen in the photos below (the later cars were not HAMB friendly) and is currently building a blown Nissan V8 powered hot rod using the Bantam body from one of his later altereds.

Yes I saw it and posted it I THINK I posted it in the Altered thread but it's been a good long while and can't be sure which thread. If I remember correctly it looked like a "setup" photo shoot.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I first saw it many years ago in one of the car rags.
