Looks to be different events based on some sponsor decal locations on the body.

Doug, a you sure that was a recreation ? I know he replaced the Prefect body with a Cricket station wagon in the later 70's, but held on to the old body. When he came out of retirement in the late 80's, I am certain that's the old car.

Yeh, I kind of stepped on the wah wah pedal there Marty,
Meant the later car, not really a recreation, just a modern version.
Saw it a handful of times at both Woodburn and Fomoso.

I looked it up, not sure about the evolution of the chassis, but it is still the same body shell he started with. Here is a very early shot. Steve Woods.jpg

Yeah, Steve and his Prefect ran roughshod over the BB/G, AA/GS, AA/S fields for quite some time until the Pro Mod style cars were allowed in. It was always good to see him doing well with an old body style.

Wow, thanks for this post, I never knew Pat Fosters' driving portfolio was so vast.
That read was worth the price of admission (anywhere).

I was talking to Pat at CHHR in 2002, he was telling me about his first ride in a fuel car, I can't remember the team. He said the the driver wouldn't make even a half pass in the car because it had a vibration, so they put him in. He ran it to about 3/4 track, and everything was an absolute blur, so he shut it down, but he showed them what he was made of. It turned out to have a seriously broken crankshaft. That established him as a driver !

    Yeh
I'm betting Pat was thinking "lets rethink this program" so to live for another opportunity.
That whole "never lift" thing is great for bench racing.
