    That’s great to hear, love seeing the history saved in the old race cars. Too many have been restored to showroom condition.

    Tom Larkin, the one who went on to race dragsters? Great way to start....

    Am I correct in thinking there were two Tom Larkin drag racers from the L.A. area.

    I would think the photo is of Tom Larkin who later raced T/G , T/F and built blowers. The other one, known as Little Tommy Larkin also raced dragsters, was younger but not related, and yes they lived not far from each other.
    Tom Larkin also was the first to use Teflon strips on blower rotors.

    I remember this 55 chevy from back in the late 70s siting in a field i believe in lake county, ohio

    It was built and raced in 1973, too new for this board.
