That car is a recreation and has only 3 original parts on it- hood, ft bumper and rear bumper.

Looks like Grabowski's "My Mother the Car" T touring at far right.

I dunno...Grabowski's tub was a rod. That looks stock. By the way, keep posting pics. You have a vast and impressive collection.

Anybody know why Greer did that? It had to be the ugliest thing on the circuit!

I would say 1967...Purple Gang car of Rossi, Rapp and Lisa. I think in 1970, Gabelich was involved with the Blue Flame LSR car, no?

  21. The Masters Dragliner is pretty cool. Neat to see it run in "Enginuity in Action".

Was this Roundpoint's last flopper, or did he continue on for a few more years? Having seen the car run many years ago, its cool to go back in time and speak with someoen who was there

I don't know where the photo was taken, but Bob Daniels told me once that Garlits had informed people who wanted a fire burnout that he'd do one if "somebody could get Daniels out of the way long enough."
Bob said he was suddenly picked up by two extremely large guys who stuck him upside down in a rain barrel. By the time he got out it was over.
This supposedly happened when they were still running TF at points meets after NHRA had banned the fire burnouts.

indybigjohn, THAT's funny, and believable! Nothin' left of those days but memories.
