I'm looking for any pic's and info on Joe Gazzana's "The Bold One" alky funny cars, he was the 1972 UDRA champion. When I was 10-12 years old and living in Wisconsin I would ride my Schwinn 5-speed to his house to clean the car up and just hang out. Neighborhood kids are always important team members right..:)

Sorry these aren't in motion, just want to show the cars I'm interested in.

A friend of mine has that car unrestored. If I remember correctly he bought it from Garlits.

It was the Galpin Ford. I have some Jackson Bros. video of it racing Ivo's Wagon Master at Fremont. Car was powered by 4 alky fed 351 Clevelands

You got my vote here. It seems every part of the country had its own heads up circuit devoted to normally aspirated funny's. A great show by themselves or serving as an accompaniment to the blown AA/FC's

Bunny is 60+, still looks great, and pilots her alcohol funny car as good as ever.

This Steve Bovan. Bovan orchestrated a botched kidnapping in the early 70's, wherein it cost him his life at the hands of some involved party

The George's Corvette Shop Vette was obviously a former dragster, powered by a bored/stroke 327. By 1971, George Reece had this car, and two other standard Vette bodied floppers in his racing stable. I recall seeing ads in the weekly tabloids wherein Reece was promoting his cars for match race bookings.
