  17. Spoons, OK if I post this in another thread on The H. A. M. B. about Y-Blocks in Hot Rods??

  18. For what it's worth, it's Tom Blackford's BB/Altered: 312 Y-block, dual teapots, and McCulloch supercharger from Owensboro, KY, circa early 60s. "Spoons" reposted it from one of my posts here (I reposted it from another board) and you're welcome to spread the word. It was an awesome car! Women and children ran when they heard that poppin' Y-block through those short headers -- and it scared more than a few SBC's.:)

Anyone else notice what appears to be Falfa's '55 in the background? It's tough to tell, but I do see white in the interior and a small scoop on the hood. Anyone know for sure if it is the AG '55?

I saw this car, "the Showboat", driven by Norm Day, make three exihibition passes at I-20 Dragway in Tyler, Tx. in 83', I think it was. The crew was wiping down the tires, actually wetting them down with kerosene for smoke. First pass, changed lanes so no time, but a MPH. Second pass I think he let off. Third pass was a complete one but not a stellar performance. At the time, I remember thinking whole affair was as phoney as Norm Days toupe'. Car was also displayed at Ken Halls service station in Tyler; he also operated both I-20 and Hallsville Dragways at the same time. But, it was an interesting car just the same.Butch/56sedandelivery.
