Sigh, I sure miss the NR site. But I still have the T-shirt and a couple of worn-out stickers. Mike

I am confident that having one adorning my lone "Sunday go to meeting shirt" will get me a good table at any of the finer eating spots here in the 'hood; Pachang's, Oinkster, Casa Bianco, Taix...et al.

The '34 coupe with "Jay's Automotive Service" was Jay Cheatham from Sunnyvale, CA. who later built a Cad-powered dragster, initially injected, but later with a front-mounted 6-71. Sadly he was killed in the car at the initial '59 Smoker's meet at Bakersfield.

Cole, what does a guy need to do to procure two of those decals? (one for the Altered, one for the Tow Car).....

  20. Me too...though I haven't worn my NR shirt since 2001...

I also miss Jim Sorenson's "Funny Car Years" site.

I was there the day Les was killed and I have black & white pictures of before and after. Was a very sad day

  22. It looks like a Kellison Jamaica...beyond that I'm clueless. Must have been a heck of a ride, though.

The Mustang Mach I in the picture, is it Shirl Greer`s?
A friend of mine has an older ex. Shirl Greer Funny, it would have been cool to see some pictures of it ?
Here is how it looked like when raced in Norway in 1979.

A couple of famous names on the side of this one. Larry Meyer went on to become a well known T/f crew chief and married Ed Cluff's daughter. Cluff was the go to guy for billet rocker arms for late hemi fuel motors. I watched him carve them out of a solid block of steel back in the late 80's when we visited their shop in Irving, Tx.
