Lindner always put his "T" sticker on the headlight.

    I've actually got those stickers!

I was told that Frankie Harris in Arlington, Va. bought the car from K.S. They were supposedly pals. Frank had a business called "High Performance Hardware" last I heard. Sorry, I don't know any more about it. It was a cool looking race car, though. Mike

That is Mac Mccord, Im guessing 1974ish. He was a friend of my dads and they built thier first few race cars together along with Denny Russell. In Lafayette Indiana, We all lived within a 2 block radius if each other, 3 fuel cars in one neighborhood, how loud can you go. Mac divorced and moved to pheonix AZ. and drove fuel altereds until a few years ago. He was a staple at Firebird raceway driving to GoRilla altereds.

I was standing on that very corner only a month ago. It was a good 20 years after the last time I went when you could see the line of trees that lined the old drag strip. Now they are gone too : - (

The picture doesnt due the car justice. It was a short lived affair as the car was destoyed in a top end crash. Pittman replaced the Anglia with his infamous, all steel Gremlin and returned to the BB/GS circuit.

As I might have mentioned once before, this car got airborn in the lights at OCIR in the summer of 1970. Pickett escaped with a broken back, but continued racing of course. It was 392 powered.

Owner Gil Hayward got a lot of miles out of this car, debuting it in 1964, and competing well into 1969, albeit with 392 power. Hayward was instrumaental in banding the fuel altered owners together in order to promote themselves to local tracks and earn some $ instead of just a trophy. Instead of one or two cars showing up, Hayward was able to gaurantee at least enough for a 4 or 8 car show.
