What an AWESOME thread. I was late finding it and as of tonight I am up to page 220. I have a long way to go and enjoying every sentence and picture.
Some bring back good old memories of a SoCal kid growing up going to the drags and seeing the cars run. I read where some feel that Fontana was a bad place to go, and in some parts I am sure it was. But I went with my neighbor from Whittier to that strip many times before I was 16 and never had an issue.
I feel very fortunate that I had a friend who could drive and didnt mind a little kid tagging along to the drags.
Keep this going. At this rate I should catch up by summer LOL
