History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

hey this is my dad's 500 inch Cadillac powered '53 Studebaker at bowling green nat'l hot rod reunion not sure of the year '04,'05 ???... that car has been pretty successful over the last 22 years of bracket racing at byron dragway in illinois, we have had alot fun my dad, my brother, and myself racing the "oldie but goodie" since 1987. thanks for the pic post Brian

No, it's not the Fred Carillo '27. Quite a few differences in drivre location, body, suspension and drive line. The Carillo car always had an in and out box, and had to be push started at the beginning of the run at Bonneville. Never a drag car as far as we know.

Both the Vette roadster and the "Experience" Mustang depicted a few frames above were part of the newly burgeoning So-Cal blown gas funny car circuit. Cars were entertaining to watch.
