  9. Great shot of Tony Waters roadster. That was a bad ass hot rod!! 185 with a 250" De Soto in '59. Hell yes!!!!

    They look like Radars in a 205 pcd Volkswagen pattern but I stand to be corrected. I'm not sure if they made these wheels in other bolt patterns. Maybe somebody else has some more info.

    Jessie Perkins bought this car and ran it as a modified fuel roadster as late as 1965, albeit with a 354" Hemi, not the Desoto
     
  25. I wonder how many realize Tony had Art Chrisman covered at the 1000' mark in the final at the first March Meet. That little roadster would have been TE at that historic race had the front mounted blower plenum not burst at a 1000 feet. Art still barely got by for the win. Dodging the shrapnel was one of the high points of all the March meets I've been to in 50 years.

    Believe it or not, Vee Dub and Anglia have the same PCD and the wheels are interchangeable.:)
