  4. I'm pretty sure it's the Jakes car that I have a picture of somewhere grenading the trans on the start line. I'll look. But, you guys got some great stuff. I wonder how many were taken by you back in the day or dug up on the net? Just curious how jealous to be that YOU were THERE:cool:

I "borrowed" this from www.wdifl.com which is an incredible dragster site! I own an orignal copy shot by Jeff Avadisian who sells them.
QUOTE- "No, this isn't a trick shot. In 1967 at Fresno Raceway, four fuel dragsters ran at the same time. From L-to-R: Berry Bros. & Edmond, Waters & King, The Vagabond, and Gotelli & Safford. Wayne King says the noise in the cockpit was incredible. John Edmond won the race (teamed with King) and for obvious reasons, there was never another one at Fresno (but they did do it with different cars back East at Byron Dragway").

I dug out these photos from Fresno Dragways, Bakersfield and Fremont. Most were shot when I was a kid and I'll try to describe them. Photo 1 is Fred and the Texeira & Dad B/A. I could be wrong but I think this was the old Bodakian (spelling?) Bros. AA/FA. Photo 2 is the L.A. Dart:D, both photos taken @ Bakersfield

Next is the Willys Coupe of Roy Biggs in the staging lanes, the Berry Bros. & Hughes Fuel Dragster just out of Dragster Staging and a couple of starting line shots all from Fresno Dragway.

I got alot of photos of the GAGE & Sons A/FC Pinto...thought it had a ford in it:confused: and then we have the Rocket Dragster that made an appearence at Fresno Dragways, can't remember the cars name. Check out the old Fresno Dragway tower in the background:cool:, tower and track are still there (last time I went by there) used by a farmer. The parking pasture is an orchard now.
