    Phil McGee, father of the McGee Top Fuel engine, and originally from Australia, now lives in Missouri, about 50 miles from Mo-Kan. He has been casting and building Jr. Dragster engines, although I understand that business has slowed quite a bit.

    Phil comes to race at our track, and rents the track for testing quite often. I talked to Phil today, he said that he built 64 of the McGee engines, sold 40 and still has some of the stuff for sale.

    Sorta ties McGee to the HAMB, I guess....

    That sure does look like Dyno Don Nicholson on the left. He and his brother Harold ran modified cars and then early S/S cars around this time.

    Might be Don, but I doubt it. Harold was killed at Saugus in '53 or '54, this photo was later than that...
