    You guys have a lot of great pics. I had never seen this one of Al Van der Woude and myself. Capital? Aquasco?

    This car was a real treat to see. Merideth and Newton' blown 427 Ford wedge powered A/GS. The car ran high 9's in 1966. When the guys got drafted for Vietnam they sold it off sans blown motor to an African American gentleman who put a tunnel rammed 428 Cobra Jet, painted it metalflake red and dubbed it Soul To The Bone. A very quick Bracket I car. When Merideth and Newton returned from ' Nam, they renewed their racing efforts with a string of blown gas funnycars

    The last car of Lunsford that I saw was his Funny T competetion dragster, basically a rail with a roadster shell mounted atop of it. It featured a really cool psychedelic paint scheme. I saw it win a Div 7 meet at Irwindale.

    My buddy has the complete 1965 run of Super Stock magazine in a binder and he let me borrow it last summer. I couldn't put it down.
