Bad as it is, I may have taken the tail section of this car to the dump. Don't hate me!

Friend in Tulsa bought a car in the mid 70's, was told it was the Greek's old car. His wife HATED drag racing and allowed him only a small section in the garage to keep the car, therefore, he would not keep anything that he thought he didn't need. SO, he gave me the tail. I kept it around the shop for awhile, and then tossed it on a load going to the trash...

You must remember it was a different time, nobody EVER thought this stuff had any value! It was "Old fashioned" and had no value. Hope it is a lesson for someone out there!

Kiwi Kev, I am going to print that pic out and keep it in my wallet.
Next time someone says "Nobody ever raced those" (Regardless of what it is) I can pull out that pic.
If they raced those, the field is wide open for anything with wheels.
There must be at least one 1932 ford part on those cars.

 

Awesome pics. Do you have any of Joe Law from WV? He ran those tracks from 67 to 70s. Ran A/C and Top Gas. Would love to see some pics of his cars!

 

Picture those Isettas with more power, maybe that Yeakel-McEwen hemi right behind the driver. And the gear shift thru the roof, pinkie extended...
