When this car was restored for the 50th US Nationals it was fired up for the first time at an open house deal at my shop on the Tuesday evening of race week. The 70 or so Aussies on hand were pretty impressed. Of couse they also liked it when we cackled the Safford-Ratican-Gaide car with Kenny Safford in the seat and the Howard Cam Rattler with Larry Dixon Sr at the wheel.

Anyone have a pic of John Force's early funny cars? I remember him at the Summernationals about '79 or so, did 3 dry hops before he even got to the waterbox. Was Mello Yellow ever a Force sponsor? Seems to me they were, but the recall is getting rusty.
