When I lived in Azusa, my friends and I would peddle over to Russ Davis Ford in nearby Covina and see the Mustang on display. While on display, a hobby store located but a few doors down was selling an AMT kit of the very same car. He sold crates of them in one weekend; I of course had mine. It also came with a little 45 RPM record of an interview with Ronda as welll as a cockpit recording of him making a run.

The shot of Ivo and the top end of San Gabe is priceless in that it displays how refined his race car (the Barnstormer) was late 1963. Beautiful body work and paint, well detailed throughout. One of the first to run an Enderle bug catcher. Ivo was alo one of the first to wear a Diest aluminized firesuit

  10. Hey Duke.I no longer have the model, but I still have the record.I recall when I first moved away from home, was renting an apartment with a couple friends. One night we gathered all our stereo stuff, aimed it at the wall of our neighbors(nice couple, don't know why we did this),and at about 1:00 a.m,cranked up the volume as loud as we could, and BLASTED that Funny Car run at them.Scared the crap out of them.Oh what fun. How else are the younger guys & gals going to learn the right stuff?

    Rich,
I know you are right, but I guess I am tired of the bashing, negativity, etc on here and frankly, when someone who maybe, just maybe might know what in the hell they are talking about gets a basket of shit for trying to do exactly what you point out. Just don't need the brain damage.

Thus, I like the way that Cut55 did it...pointing out accuracies positively.
    Hope that makes sense!
    Best,
    E

    Geno,
Could be..as you know he ran an Olds in a bunch of versions on his stuff...I can't remember! His stuff was always bitchin' as you know. I would ask him, but he is a bit "cranky" these days......

I don't remember, but quite a stud. I remember his running some shorter WB stuff, but mostly with an Olds. I will no longer piss off the boys on this thread and start another Muncie thread......

    Thanks!
