Hampton coaxed mid 7's out of the Vette. It was powered by alky fed LT-1 350's. He debuted the car but a few months after winning top gas eliminator with a genaric Chrysler FED at the 1970 Winternationals. And Hampton was trying to sell the rail when he entered the Winternationals. Its for sale price must have been upped after his proving that it was a winner.

I found a picture posted by ts3x65mph, it is photoshopped in, photographer unknown on the picture. When I post a picture it does not matter to me who took it, I just want to see the picture. Ive got hundreds of pics on here and other places that my dad took with hardly any credit to him. The picture in question was actually take by my dad Tom Johannsen, here is the original photo scan with the ruffled edges and all. Any way thanks to who ever photoshopped it as to not wanting credit for it. Its very respectful do do so, but not nessacary in my opinion.

I know this has been argued before, if anyone tries to sell your stuff you will lose money. Well if someone wants to make 5 bucks selling a photo they did not take, and waste 3 bucks in gas to mail it, more power to them. I just wish more people would bust out thier stash of pictures and share them, instead of hoarding them because they are afraid some will profit from them. I dont know how many pics I have of my dad running his cars, with people in the back ground everywhere holding cameras and movie cameras. Wheres all those pictures, I want to see them. PLEASE!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing, that is an awesome pic. I wonder what they're all looking at? Must be something really good to interrupt the work being done on that vette, the valve cover is off.

Love the photo of the Blue Max losing it's body in Columbus 1975. I was there with my movie camera and got it from the pit grandstands...the people went nutty.
