The Bruce Hertel dragster pic from Wingdale NY:

Didn't he put that engine into a blue model A coupe and call it "The Funnel Master?" I remember a pic from Hot Rod trading cards in my youth.

Not as cool as some of the pictures on this thread, but its mine!
Found this car in a garage in 2006. Found the picture a year later while thumbing thru drag photos at the Autorama. Photo was taken at the Bakersfield March Meet in 1970. Car was running in G/MP class...later ran in D/GS with an injected small block.

Now THAT'S what I call having a bad day at the dragstrip! Was Mr. Paris a former Blue Angels pilot?

By the way, that is an AWESOME shot!

I was thinking when I was looking at the photo earlier that it was kind of a strango looking flop.Kind of a "laydown" car if you will.
Was that the Hydrogen Peroxide rig that took flight? It seems like I read something about it a few months ago?

The year was 1977 Kitty O’Neil "Rocket Kat" rocket powered 1977 Corvette. 5000 lb. thrust Hydrogen Peroxide motor was destroyed in that crash.
