I had a bunch of old video tapes transferred to DVD and was watching one and the Wynn's Willys went by in the pits (Indy, I think). I watched so much, I forgot which movie I was watching. It was either a Gold Dust or RR video. Very cool.

 

Plum..............This one has a shot of the car being towed through the pits at the Gatornationals , then a shot that scans the drivers side for about 15 seconds. I think this is the one you were thinking about.

I've always liked Mavericks.Walked into a Ford Dealership in 1970 and bought one brand new for $1,995.00.Didn't look like the one in post 18232,but it was the same color.

 

Anywhere there is old school rods and/or horsepower.... I am in heaven, I assure you.

 

Heres a couple of Adam at Famoso...damn that new car looks good...people can bitch all they want about the new "highchair" front engine cars,,,but when you got a face full of oil and blower comin back in your face in the lights and your still doggin it down thru there...you got balls.

I figure I'll put this out there again and se if anyone has any info on what record this ad is referring to. The ad came from a Sept. 1967 issue of HOTROD magazine. Car 65 Fairlane, driver Bill Beck, owner Mel Burns Ford.

I'm onr that's not a fan off some of the new NTF dragsters but that car is nicce,love the body.Great jod.Anyone that thinks they are not hard to drive needs to get strapped in one!

There not the best, but heres a couple of shots of Big Daddy. Its the best I could as they were taken into the sun.

My favorite dragster, WINGED EXPRESS

 

I have some pictures of this car at the World of Wheels/Autorama shows from this year, along with a handful of others. And it was amazing to see it in person, it gave me goosebumps when I came around the corner and saw it. Before then I had only seen pictures like these and videos.
