Most do not remember Bob Riggle even having an AA/FC "Hemi Under Glass" Firebird. The car was the ex-Gay Bros. machine with a new body and revamped chassis and driven by Dale Emery’s. Riggle and Emery paired up after Dale drove the "Flying Red Baron" wheelstander of Gary Watson for a year. They did not race the flopper for long due to the costs involved. Best performances for Emery were a 6.94 at Warner Robins and 211 mph at Connecticut during the 1972 season. Parts from the car were converted into a wheelstander.

in 2001, i took a ride in the right seat of "hug" with bob at the wheel.

i was never much into exhibition cars, even when i was a kid, but i'll never forget it.

it was really quite a graceful ride: the front end came right up, the car ran straight; no bobble and bob eased it back on the ground by lightly "spooning it" a couple of times.

fun stuff and it sounded huge in my reports... even from an am signal.

    TEST.

Looks like I got my scanner up and running again. This more or less is a test to see if everything is working.

Heres some new F/C photos I have scanned although they might have been on here before as people have gotton them off other sites & posted them here which I don't mind.

I'm just scaning everything I got all over again and I'm sure there will be some you never seen before.

Will get back to posting tomorrow.

At Woodburn Oregon. A car I restored years ago from the west coast. Stood it on the rear bumper with new 600+ motor. Bent the wheelie bar a little.

Kerry it was a frame I found locally and then just like a puzzle started putting her together....rumor states it is the Valley Muffler of Fresno car minus the small block Chevy.

  23. This car has been in the NHRA museum for the last few years. I drool over it every time I go.
