This new scanner & computer is great. Takes a little longer to scan but I'm happy with the results. Hope you are.

There were a lot of odd suspension theories tested during that era. I see a large traction bar like object under the right rear of the car.

3 link cars will lift the right front (like the SRD Pro Stocks) if everything is not exactly right and will still go very fast, and 'Stahl Bar' cars will also. Another possiblity is that something broke on the left of 2 ladder bars, that will lift the right side too.

Peggy Hart, the first woman drag racer and one of the best...the radiator was so she could drive it home after the races.

  20. Just prior to this run,the starter (Larry Sutton maybe) INSISTED Arrington put his gloves on,even though he had the rest of his fire suit on,Lew complied.Right after that, the tranny let go,and the rest is history. Dennis Doubleday

Check Fred's hands in this photo. I guess because the engine is in the rear he didn't need them.

    WRONG.

The Invader was one of my favorite cars also.

Anybody know what Gary is doing now.

I understand he built a clone of the car and was testing it. Anybody know anything?

    Thanks,

    Plum

This one isn't and can't be moving (yet) but it looks like a restoration is underway!!!
