    Yo Baby,
Can you post a photo of that car Boogie built (Helter Skelter)?
Here's 2 more of Boogie's cars, 1959-60. The '32 coupe and the dragster, both Olds motors. Glenn - in Louisiana

There is a famous shot of Lew Arrington's 66 Brutus GTO wherein the drivers compartment is engulfed in flames as it sits on the line at Lions. The story behind it is one where Arrington pulled up to the line sans gloves. Starter Larry Sutton ordered him to don gloves or shut off. Arrington complied, refired the car, did the rosen thing and then bam,
there came the fireball. Had Arrington not been wearing gloves, he too would have have meatloaf for paws.

I beleive that this Larry Dixon winning the top fuel title at the 70 Winternationals. Motor let go in the traps. Dixon was interviewed by ABC commentator Chris Economaki as he (Dixon) was wiping oil from eyes as because some of the oil seeped through his goggles

Who remembers the junior fueler beating the top fueler? Looks like the hemi was getting a little crossed up.
