Seems like here is where those "in the know" are!

Friend asks,

"Does anyone know of or have any info about a Corvair (and it's owner/driver) that made it to the final round in it's class during the 1964 AHRA Winternational Drag Races in Scottdale Arizona at the Beeline Dragway. It was introduced as "The Mighty Little Corvair" from California. I think it was Corvair powered. The Crowd loved it!

It went up against the Herrera Bros. 40 Willys Gasser in the final round. the Willys took the race with an 11.96@106.13mph. There was no ET announced for the Corvair but it clocked in at 99.44 mph."
