    whats the scoop on this one...? quick rebody or something else...?
     
  13. Interesting. The early flip top cars had headers that tucked under the frame rails, the 'modern' ones, starting around '71 put the headers above the frame rails. This one shows the headers going through the frame. Haven't seen many set ups like this.

    I think that this was once the Galpin Maverick flopper of Larry Fullerton; just another former nitro car relegated to bracket racing/NHRA econo classes.
     
  15. The light blue Blue Max Mustang from 1973 crashed at Gary.They then took Charlie Therwanger's Vega and ran it as the Blue Max for a short while.Then it went back to Therwanger,I believe,when the new car arrived. Dennis Doubleday

    our car club (stags, ogden, ut.) still has this car. It had an injected 392 in this photo.

    What is the correct word for re-un-altered wheel base. Was this done for class or ??

    I had the car at one time, PWood found it and Mike McIntosh picked it up for me. .....I sold it to Dyno Don !!! :D:D:D
