How about the safety equipment in 24159. Helmet, t-shirt, no goggles or faceshield. Looks like wristbands. haha

"Sneaky" Pete Robinson, not only a terrific racer, but a free thinker and gifted engineer. This was his early attempt at using vacuum ground effects....




His 2nd version, that some contend was the cause of the crash that cost him his life racing at the Winternationals in Pomona, 1971...R.I.P. Pete.

In '65 I was working at a Standard "gas station" for $1.50 per hour. Even a $3,000 car would have been major 'big-timing' it for me.
