Yeah, Bristol was one of our favorite tracks. Here is a shot from 73 at Beeline

Like hog mtn said, Paradise was 1/4 for a while, but was shortened to 1/8 mile like many of the tracks around here. My dad has called the body a Kellser....which I assume he means Kellison. I'm pretty sure it had a big block Chevy and two four's. I'm not sure whatever happened to that old car.

Edit: R.I.P. Otto Timms. My dad and I always go to the nostalgia drags there every time they have one...such a great atmosphere and a bunch of cool cars.

    A Kellison.Seen a couple but that name escaped me.Thanks.
Looking at the strips down south there seem to be a lot more 1/8 milers.
Otto must have been a cool guy.Sorry to hear of his passing.Whenever I travel I always check out dragstrips in the area.I'll be sure to check out Paradise if and when I am in the area.Good to know it is still active.

I was trying to dredge up the name of the glass body but you beat me to it. You are right it is a Kellison. I thought it was a Devin but the grill is too big. I know it is not a Cheeta as I had some dealing with one back in the 70's. There were only 5 or less ever made for drag racing and probably only 2 ever really made it to the track.

The Kellison was popular both for drag racing and sports car racing. I don't thin kI have ever seen a street legal one.
