Good shot of the Bloomin Bullet. Mark Bullet drove the car and it later had a life as the C&O firebird that was initially driven by Gene Modlin who worked at C&O. I thought Modlin was doing fine but, he was replaced by Gene Conway who owned C&O.

I remember the C&O Firebird. So it started as this Camaro.Looks like Gene Modlin got power played out of the ride with Conway the owner.:)
Conway had the Destroyer or was it Holy Toledo Jeep? The bird was after them? What did C&O make/do?
Nothing better than info from the guys that were there.

Gene Conway aka Gene Ciambello was the owner of C&O transmissions in Los Angeles and many cars including us ran a C&O torqueflight. Yes, it is the same guy who ran the Destroyer and after they outlawed the jeep's he ran the topless corvette. Gene had alot to do with many cars in the L.A area as did Marv Eldridge Fiberglass Trends. Most of Conway's mechanical work was done by his brother Donnie and Steve Montrelli. There were so many funny cars in Calif it was not uncommon to see 64 cars trying to qualify for a field of 16. GREAT RACING. Back in the day, there were many junk yards where alot of chrysler engines at the tracks came from. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE FOREVER> Mike

Rare shot of the rear engined AA/FA Willys P/U in the far lane. I cant recall the owners, but I think it was based out of Arizona.

For you guy's that want to see the Chassis Research stuff, http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=259 I've owned a couple of CR cars and looked at 50 others. No two that I have seen have ever been the same. Always something differant with every car. The Hollish Bros coupe has a TE440.
