Image 27382, Lane Motors is a car bought new by Dean "Skeet" Russell. He still has the car, it looks like new still. He was a Dover regular.

  8. Never saw a chute line anchored that high. Jim Diest did not tell them to do that!!

  9. "Automotive Specialties" was the speed shop in front of Precision Engines in Bladensburg, Maryland back in the late 60's.

All the touring guys would come thru there, they helped sponsor the Wheeler Dealer, Beebe & Mulligan, and a bunch of guys.

Malcolm Durham's was just down the street and Precision did all of his machine work.

    Good times.

BTW, cool pic of the "Dart Charger"

The Blue Fox was a popular and famous burlesque club I think. Check out the dial in on Buchannon's Anglia, "10.95". Buchannon later ran Gary Densham's AA/GS roadster when Densham ventured into the FC class.

Does anyone have any more info on the blower drive on this roadster?! Never seen anything like it. I might be mistaken, but it looks like 'Milodon' is cast into it. BEAUTIFUL car! Wish I was around for this era of drag racing!

Looks like the enclosure on a chain drive blower.

  22. This is a chain in oil drive made by Howard Johansen. Was the way to go in the late '50s and early '60s before someone figured out Gilmer belts.

That Petty hauler and car bring to question if there really is another Petty Barracuda out there. This appears to be a former Petty car owned by Ratliff.. Remember Eddie Ratliff running a Pro Stock Demon in 1972
