Am helping a fellow-When steering is turned full lock to left the steering link is just kissing the wishbone. Either need to bend the pitman arm down maybe 1" or put a slight bend in drag link. The drag link is full tubing. Which is preferable?? I'm leaning toward the pitman arm solution. Opinions pls--Sorry I have no pics. Steering is good thru all motions other than this issue. Thank you

Is this why stock 40 drag links had a bend in the outboard end?

I think I'd rather bend the pitman, that way you can turn the drag link tube to fine adjust the length like it's supposed to.

Since you have said the drag link is tubing, I would think there's less chance of weakening things in removing the pitman arm, heating it cherry red and bending it the slight amount needed. Tubing seems to lose a lot of rigidity and strength when bent, more so than solid bar.
Be sure and let the pitman arm cool naturally with no dunking in either water or oil. Have done this many times on dirt track cars, and never had a failure afterwards.
