I have a quick question for you guys. I have a early model GM 12 bolt rear end out of a chevy truck. It has the bigger brake drums. Can i put car brake drums on it without changing all the brakes and back plate?

    Thanks,

Great Video, I wish I could have been around back then to see it in person. I know its not like it was back in the day but we are still having a good time getting out running are creations and meeting the people who were able to see it back then.

  7. Its still the '60s @ MOKAN and Drag Racing is still fun.

Well if you don't get so serious that it becomes work.

Bob I remember it being fun. Then it became work then I backed off for a very long time. Its fun again for me. I don't race often but when I do it more fun than is legal.

    Thanks for the video bro.

Time to head to the garage.

Now that's what I call porn. That really takes me back to Atco when I was a kid. Thanx for that.

went to the World Drag Racing Expo in Chicago today. Not much for nostalgic parts or cars on display. But us gasser guys were very much in force and we were pitching hard to the track promoters to put the Midwest Gassers and Nostalgia Super Stocks on this summer's programs. Look for us at a track near you...if you live in the Midwest.

That video was sent to me by Don Holle, the organizer of the Losers car club in Milwaukee. Don and many club members from assorted SE WI clubs were instrumental in establishing the Great Lakes Timing Assoc. They built the track and then sold it. Today it is known as Great Lakes Dragaway. 16. Can't answer your question I'm afraid. One of the Joplin fellas probably can. I haven't visited there steady since the '70s.

But I still make it down once a year for "The Gathering". And its not too late to run MOKAN. Meet me there in August.
