Does anyone know the history of this little Roadster Pickup or by chance have anymore pictures of it? I saw this picture a few years ago and it broke my brain.

As noted when this photo was posted here earlier, the car is actually the Forsberg brothers A model with Jerry in the seat and Denny in the pick up.

The Dick Kalivoda/ John Hamlin roadster very early in its life with Dick. Kalivoda (in the seat here) was a member of the Di-Gammas car club and agreed to run the club name on the side of the car after the members funded the purchase of the fuel injection for the DeSoto engine. The color on the car is 57 Pontiac Lime Fire green, voted on by the club. The car is now restored to its later configuration and light blue paint.

Don Schleicher’s Nationals Week Started With A Flunked Tech Inspection And Ended With The A/Modified Roadster Trophy. In Between, He Hastily Installed The Second (rear) Roll Bar Demanded By NHRA And Hit 129.58 Mph. “Car Displayed Beautiful Workmanship And Safety Features,” Commented CC (Dec.’ 56).

A later iteration of the Cederquist brothers roadster. It did not have the blower when it was on the cover of Hot Rod magazine.

loudbang, you have posted this photo several times in various threads (including this one) and you even posted a specific thread on Jim Harrell and Willie Borsch so you should have been able to identify it.

Where is the (usually front-mounted) distributor? I wonder if it may be a 430 Lincoln?

And dig the XJ 120 fixed head coupe in the background, behind the fence.

With no front brakes to add twist I wouldn't worry much about the drilled axle.

Does anybody recognize the location of this picture?

 

Looks like the distributor might be driven off of the crank. Hard to tell.
