History Drag Roadsters............picture thread

mine from 1964 (actually 3 of us owned B & R Speed)425 c.i. 409 Chev. AI glass body, double tube frame.

 

this just makes me wonder, how the hell did these fellas stay so clean?! you always see mechanics and track officials dressed in all white in these old pics..... as soon as i put a white shirt on dirt jumps right on me!

Hey Royal,Just finished this one. Been running brackets (1/8 mi)with it for the last month,fun car. Of coarse it's Ford powered. Great thread.

It is a more current car, but with a bit of old school look. This was mine in 2000/2001. Current owner has left it as it was when I sold it. It is an early Warren Brogie built car. Lots of fun to race. My current car is on the Stationwagon drag car thread.

Jeff, that is the Dick Kalivoda roadster out of Washington state, it was in the NHRA Museum during the GNRS this year. I remember going to Puyallup Raceway as a youngster and watched it race many times. LOVED that car...(actually still do DOH!)
