http://www.hotrod.com/events/drag-week-2016-track-locations-and-dates-announced/ long drive for us guys out west! but it will be neat to see that part of the country
49 Chevy pickup. Nothing special just a daily hotrod. Fresh motor/trans/rear end. I know it'll be a good time!
I watch the full event on Youtube every year. So far finances have made it impossible for me to attend. Someday! Devin
I talked to andy starr today. He is the efi rep for hilborn injection. He got in and is bringing his injected 66 nova.
the route to the next track is released every day when you turn in your time slip. Usually it is not the interstate, but sometimes it is.
Norwalk is one of the nicest tracks you will ever see. Its spotless. I go to a three day Pontiac event there and look forward to it everyear.
I was just teasing jim. no one knows the route until that day. you are given exact details on the route. they must be followed. there are places you have to take a picture of with your car in front. they will be on the route information sheet. there are secret spotters along the way. every year some try to get cute and stray off the route to save time and miles. much to their surprise they are disqualified the next day. hot rod has been doing this long enough that they know the tricks on cheating. remember to follow the rules and most of all have fun.
I've read that before about the checkpoints and what not. I didn't think they released the route early. Your last sentence says it all. Have fun!
Is there anywhere that states rules regarding safety equipment for drag week? Haven't come across anything on hotrods website.
I just went through and booked my hotels for the week. Slim pickings for the majority. So if you haven't thought about it yet. Now probably would be a good time.
